Founded in Taiwan in 1978, SPARMAX began with compact air compressors and airbrushes, and has since found its way into scale modeling, art, industrial design, beauty applications and a wide range of professional fields.
Over more than four decades, our products and the ways they are used have continued to evolve. Yet what we aim to do has remained simple: create tools that work well and help people bring their ideas to life.
One Airbrush, Many Possibilities
For some, an airbrush is a tool for adding fine details, gradients and shading to a scale model. For others, it is part of the creative process in art and illustration, or a way to bring concepts to life in industrial design and prototyping.
As new needs and applications have emerged, SPARMAX products have also found their way into nail art, beauty applications, laboratory equipment and other professional fields. These uses may look very different, but they share one idea: the right tool makes it easier to turn an idea into something real.

It All Started in Taiwan
Since SPARMAX began in Taiwan in 1978, product development and manufacturing have remained an important part of who we are.
In 2018, Taiwan-based Ding Hwa Co., Ltd. and Japan's ANEST IWATA Corporation jointly established ANEST IWATA SPARMAX Co., Ltd., marking a new chapter in the development of the SPARMAX brand.
Today, we continue to develop and manufacture products in Taiwan, bringing feedback and experience from users across different markets and fields back into the way we design and improve our products.
A Good Tool Should Feel Good to Use
Specifications matter, but so does the experience when a tool is actually in your hands.
From the feel and control of an airbrush, to the stable performance of an air compressor and the way different products work together, we look closely at how our tools are used in real situations.
Someone picking up an airbrush for the first time may need something very different from an experienced artist or professional. Rather than simply offering more specifications, we want people to be able to find the tool that truly fits what they want to do.
Good Tools Are Worth Taking Care Of
We believe the value of a good product should go beyond the moment it is purchased. It should continue to serve its purpose throughout the time it is used.
That is why, alongside our products, we continue to provide consumables, replacement parts and repair services. When a part wears out, maintenance is needed, or a problem occurs, it does not always mean the entire product needs to be replaced.
Being able to maintain a tool, find the parts it needs and get help when needed is, to us, part of what makes a good product complete.
